To help facilitateMaster of Magic(MoM) tournament games and provide a challenge to seasoned MoM veterans, random wizard books and abilities can now be generated using a variety of algorithms by clicking on the algorithm links below.
MRGG does not generate the Difficulty and Opponents game settings. Players seeking the highest level of difficulty should try thelatest Insecticide patchon Impossible with Four opponents, with the Revolting Raiders and Monsters Gone Wild options selected in the Game Settings. The Land Size and Magic settings generated by MRGG assume the Insecticide patch has been installed.
Algorithm 1 - The original MRGG algorithm developed by Tlaloc. Books are generally more focused in fewer colors, all abilities have about equal chance of being chosen, and the Myrran retort gives a high chance of a Myrran race.
Algorithm 2 - A simple algorithm developed by WhiteMage based on the game menu. Books are generally spread across more colors, more expensive abilities (such as Divine Power, Infernal Power, and Runemaster) are rarer than cheaper ones, and the Myrran retort gives a lower chance of a Myrran race. Algorithm 3 - Has a 50% chance of running Algorithm 1, and a 50% chance of running Algorithm 2. This is the default algorithm that runs when the page is loaded.
